Chile’s wild coasts, deserts, and Andes Mountains
The incredible Andean mountain range runs from North to South in this country roughly the distance from San Fransisco to New York. Chile is also blessed with a Pacific wilderness coast that is more than twice the length of America’s Pacific west coast. Indigenous Mapuche Indians inhabit the southern region of Chile and Quchua and Aymara speaking peoples live in northern-Andean Chile. The diverse ecosystems range from hot and dry deserts in the north to cool and rainy forests of the south.
“In a not too distant past, yet shrouded in mystery, these ruins are a testament to the genius of this pre-Hispanic culture.”
John Milton was recently invited to lead a Sacred Passage retreat for members of the Chilean Green Party. John was enthralled with the majesty of this country. After the completion of this Sacred Passage program, John had the opportunity to register a 100,000 acre ranch under the Sacred Land Trust. We are looking forward to holding a variety of programs on this spectacular piece of property.
Peru, Machu Picchu & Andes Mountains
In a not too distant past, yet shrouded in mystery, these ruins are a testament to the genius of this pre-Hispanic culture. This site was built in harmony with the natural landscape using construction techniques that are still unsurpassed. One cannot help but wonder over the inspired creativity that brought this place into being. |
