Pacific Coast Baja California, Mexico
Sacred Passage Retreat
February 11 - 23, 2022
Begin the new year with renewed senses and a re-awakened heart! ...
The vast ocean is calling…
The quiet of the desert is calling…
The steady, sure, supportive Sun and Moon are tracing their arcs over our round world.
And there is a beautiful place where we can drop our self-definitions for a bit, and simply listen, or walk, or dance, or say hello to who lives there… animals, plants, stars, stones, waves, whales, birds… and then maybe drop our definition of those beings, and simply be with them, listen, and connect.
Have you seen Venus reflected for miles in the Pacific at night?
Join us for this Sacred Passage Retreat which includes our unique and comprehensive Source Awareness Training, Nature Meditation, and a supported AllOne time nature solo to deepen the teachings you will receive from Way of Nature founder John P. Milton. Surrounded by the transporting beauty of your environment, John provides Awareness Training to prepare you for a 7 day AllOne time nature solo, and to help you reintegrate upon your return. The core of these teachings are based on WoN's universal Twelve Guiding Principles for Natural Liberation: a direct path to Source Awareness that honors the essence of all the world’s great liberating traditions.
The Awareness Training before and after your AllOne time solo provides you with teachings that cultivate and combine energy, relaxation, and presence. John will teach extensively on Shamanic, Taoist and Himalayan practices that open profound connections to Source Awareness, inner and outer Nature, and the Elements. Other teachings may include emotional transformation practices, wilderness skills, and the Eleven Directions Ceremony.
This program will teach you how to come into a deep state of relaxation while simultaneously cultivating a profound experience of Presence. Each morning we will begin our day practicing Qi Gong and Gaia Flow, which will support the release of blockages stored within your mind and body and bring you into a unified state with all that surrounds you. We will also give you the tools to strengthen and refine your senses through training in the 9 Perceptual Fields of Awareness and in deepening the process of experiential connection.
"Baja: Pristine. Powerful. The earth touches the sea. And the deepest part of me touches something infinitely larger..." ~Greg
Your AllOne time gives you the opportunity to integrate the Awareness Training practices with the support of solitude in wild Nature. The depth of integration between inner and outer Nature that can be achieved is empowered by your commitment and openness to the experience.
Your AllOne Time wilderness solo is on a secluded beach or ocean-side hilltop overlooking the clear, expansive Pacific Ocean. Share the space and the experience with majestic whales, playful dolphins and sea birds as you're bathed in sunlight and ocean breezes. The powerful ocean inspires communion with the depth of your Being. Watching the sunsets from these secluded beaches is incredible. From each solo site, clear skies stretch out over the vastness of the Pacific Ocean - opening your Heart and merging your Spirit with sky and ocean's spaciousness and light.
Your safety and well-being is of our utmost concern; in fact, participating in a Passage is as safe as going on a camping trip. A uniquely designed "buddy system" with daily checkpoints allows you, your fellow Passagers, and your Guide to verify the safety of everyone involved, while still honoring your solitude. A whistle call brings an adjoining Passager into your site within a few minutes.
While you're in your AllOne Time solo, electronics and campfires are not permitted. Also, reading and writing are limited to your notes from the Awareness Training and the books Cultivating Natural Liberation and Sky Above, Earth Below by John P. Milton. You may eat simple, preferably organic, foods of your preference and enjoy the comforts of your own tent. Simplification during your AllOne Time is essential. Eliminating the trappings of everyday life unleashes your true essence, allowing the Qi energy you gather from Gaia to permeate your body without being drained.
Exact dates of training and AllOne Time subject to change based on weather and preparedness of participants.

A note from your WoN Guide, Brad Kahland:
"The first migrating whales of the season are arriving in Baja California, Mexico, from as far away as Alaska! Pregnant females have been waiting for the warmer waters of Baja to birth new life and possibilities. The whales migrate in small groups, supporting each other on their journey into the unknown and then celebrating the birth of their young by swimming together in the warm, coastal waters. It is indeed a special time in Baja California.
Around this time each year, I hear the whispering voices of those whales, reminding me of the beautiful Baja California Peninsula, and of how wonderfully supportive it is for self-exploration, transformation, and birthing new possibilities. Remembering my days on the beaches, sharing the experience with our friends and teachers, the whales, always brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart.
I hope you can join us this year for the Baja California Sacred Passage!"
